Cadillac Targets Midfield with Major Upgrades for Austria

Cadillac is optimistic that their latest upgrade package, set to debut at the Austrian Grand Prix, will edge them closer to scoring their first points of the 2026 season. The American team, still adjusting to the Formula 1 landscape, came agonizingly close to the top 10 in Monaco with Sergio Perez, only to be thwarted by a post-race penalty that dashed their hopes.

Perez had shown promise, finishing P10 before the penalty nudged him down to P15, illustrating Cadillac's potential despite their rookie status. Meanwhile, teammate Valtteri Bottas has faced his own challenges, grappling with persistent brake issues that led to his retirement from the last race in Barcelona.

Team Principal Graeme Lowdown expressed confidence ahead of the race weekend at the Red Bull Ring. "The races are coming thick and fast, and balancing logistics while enhancing our competitive edge is crucial," he remarked. "We're pleased to bring a substantial upgrade package this weekend, including new sidepods and floor. It's a significant workload, but we hope it will keep us on track to catch the midfield."
