F2: Rafael Camara Triumphs in Eventful Spa Feature Race

Rafael Camara secured his second victory of the F2 season at Spa after an action-packed race. Despite early setbacks and a red flag, Camara emerged victorious by a comfortable margin.

Rafael Camara snagged his second win of the Formula 2 season in the feature race at Spa-Francorchamps. Starting from pole, the Invicta Racing driver initially lost his lead but reclaimed it by overtaking Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak on Lap 5.

Things took a turn after Camara's mandatory pit stop when a red flag was triggered due to Laurens van Hoepen's crash at Turn 7. Thankfully, van Hoepen was unharmed, and once the race resumed, Camara faced the challenge of navigating through traffic from drivers who hadn't pitted yet.

A subsequent Safety Car period allowed the leading pack to pit, which played into Camara's hands, propelling him back into the lead. He ultimately crossed the finish line 5.4 seconds ahead of Inthraphuvasak.

Nikola Tsolov of Campos Racing claimed third place after Alexander Dunne and Noel Leon received five-second penalties for exceeding track limits, bumping Dunne down to fourth. Meanwhile, Rodin's Gabriele Mini finished fifth, with Rafael Villagomez of Van Amersfoort Racing securing sixth.

Leon, who had started from the back of the grid, ended up in seventh, followed by Hitech teammates Colton Herta and Ritomo Miyata. PREMA Racing's Mari Boya rounded off the top ten.
