Arvid Lindblad Reflects on Racing Bulls' Upgrades after Belgian GP Points Finish

Arvid Lindblad made the most of Racing Bulls' latest upgrade package to secure a points finish in the Belgian Grand Prix. The rookie driver, who started seventh on the grid, crossed the line in ninth after showcasing consistent pace throughout the weekend at Spa-Francorchamps.

This performance came on the back of a new upgrade package, a reward for Lindblad's impressive showing in Silverstone qualifying, where he outpaced his teammate Liam Lawson. Despite a solid race, Lindblad was overtaken by Lando Norris and Isack Hadjar, who started behind him due to grid penalties, and also lost a spot to Gabriel Bortoleto, who benefited from a well-timed pit stop during a Virtual Safety Car.

"It's been a very strong weekend for us, and I think we've really maximized in each session," Lindblad remarked. He acknowledged the strategic play by Audi that saw Bortoleto gain an edge, yet remained satisfied with his own performance. "Me and Gabi had a really fun fight towards the end, pushing each other flat-out. I think we can be happy with our job this weekend."

Looking ahead, Lindblad is optimistic about the potential of the upgrades at the upcoming Hungarian Grand Prix, where his teammate Lawson will also have access to the enhanced package. Lawson, who finished 12th in Belgium, admitted the team was "too slow overall" but hopes the upgrades will prove beneficial in Budapest.

"It's positive at least, one car is very, very quick. Hopefully, that translates to us next week," Lawson commented. With Alpine and Racing Bulls now tied on points in the constructors' standings, both drivers are eager to see the upgrades' impact at the Hungaroring.

While Racing Bulls aims to climb the standings, the drivers are realistic about the challenges ahead. "It's obviously a very different track in Budapest, but I'm definitely excited to get out of here and over to there," Lawson concluded.

In the world of Formula 1, where every tenth of a second counts, Racing Bulls is banking on their upgrades to make a difference as the season progresses.
