Formula 1 and Sky have inked a new long-term deal to keep broadcasting F1 in the UK, Ireland, and Italy. This agreement ensures fans will continue to enjoy every race weekend on Sky Sports and Sky Italia.
Formula 1 and Sky have solidified their relationship with a new multi-year agreement, allowing Sky Sports to remain the exclusive broadcaster of all F1 race weekends in the UK, Ireland, and Italy well into the next decade. This deal extends the partnership in the UK and Ireland through the 2034 season and in Italy until 2032.
Sky will continue to offer comprehensive coverage, including every practice session, qualifying round, Sprint race, and Grand Prix, all available on Sky Sports in the UK and Ireland and on Sky Sport in Italy. Additionally, the streaming service NOW will carry the events, and F1 Kids will remain a part of the package, aiming to engage younger viewers.
In the UK, highlights of every Grand Prix and live coverage of the British Grand Prix will still be accessible free-to-air, while Italian fans will enjoy full live coverage on Sky Sport F1 and free-to-air broadcasts of every Italian Grand Prix on TV8.
The partnership also covers Formula 2, Formula 3, the F1 Academy, and the Porsche Supercup, ensuring motorsport enthusiasts get a full spectrum of racing action. Since Sky became the exclusive home of F1 in the UK and Ireland in 2019, viewership has soared, with a 90% increase across the board. Notably, viewership among under-35s has jumped by 120%, and female audiences have more than doubled.
In Italy, the 2026 season has seen a 25% boost in viewership, aided by Ferrari's strong performances and Kimi Antonelli's success, including his landmark victory at the Chinese Grand Prix, which drew substantial audiences both on Sky and TV8.
F1 President and CEO Stefano Domenicali expressed his delight at the continuation of this partnership, praising Sky's dedication and world-leading approach to broadcasting. Sky's Group CEO, Dana Strong, echoed these sentiments, highlighting the broadcaster's role in F1's growth through storytelling and innovation.
As the sport enters an exciting new era, Sky's renewed commitment ensures that fans across these regions will continue to enjoy top-tier coverage and storytelling, keeping them engaged with every twist and turn of the F1 calendar.
