Kimi Antonelli Secures Pole in Thrilling Belgian Qualifying

Kimi Antonelli added another notch to his impressive season by claiming pole position for the Belgian Grand Prix. The Mercedes driver delivered a stellar final lap, clocking in at 1m 44.361s, to edge out Max Verstappen by three-tenths of a second. Verstappen's lap was marred by a close encounter with Isack Hadjar, who provided a slipstream but nearly caused a mishap.

Lando Norris initially set the pace in Q3 but will drop to P13 due to a hefty 10-place grid penalty for exceeding his power unit allocation. Despite this, he managed to out-qualify George Russell, Charles Leclerc, and Lewis Hamilton.

The top 10 was tightly packed, with Oscar Piastri taking P7 and Arvid Lindblad, Gabriel Bortoleto, and Isack Hadjar rounding out the top positions. However, Hadjar's 20-place grid penalty will see him start from the back, promoting those behind him.
