Why Las Vegas Grand Prix Secured a 10-Year Deal

The Las Vegas Grand Prix will remain on the F1 calendar until 2037 following a new 10-year contract extension. This decision reflects the race's significant economic impact and its growing importance in the U.S. market.

Las Vegas has quickly become a staple on the Formula 1 calendar since its return in 2023, and it's set to continue thrilling fans for another decade. The newly announced 10-year extension ensures that F1 cars will grace the streets of Las Vegas until 2037. This long-term commitment provides stability, allowing organizers to enhance both the event facilities and the fan experience.

So why has this event been so successful? For starters, the Las Vegas Grand Prix has significantly boosted Southern Nevada's economy, generating a cumulative $3.2 billion impact from 2023 to 2025. The 2025 race alone raked in $43 million in state and local taxes. Additionally, the Las Vegas Grand Prix Foundation has contributed over $2 million to local nonprofits.

F1 President and CEO Stefano Domenicali is understandably pleased. "We are thrilled that Formula 1 will continue racing in Las Vegas for many years to come," he said. "The event has rapidly established itself as a premier destination for great racing and world-class entertainment, impacting the local economy positively."

The racing itself has been nothing short of spectacular. The track features long straights, including a 2km stretch down the famous Strip, and heavy braking zones, creating plenty of opportunities for overtaking. Add the cooler November night temperatures, and you've got a recipe for exciting tyre strategies and grip challenges.

Max Verstappen has been a standout performer in Las Vegas. He clinched victory in the 2025 race, which helped him level with Oscar Piastri and close in on Lando Norris in the tightly contested drivers' championship. Verstappen also won the first Las Vegas Grand Prix in 2023, while George Russell took the 2024 edition, which boasted an impressive 113 overtakes.

For those eager to catch the next Las Vegas Grand Prix, mark your calendars for November. Practice sessions start on the 19th, with the main event scheduled for the 21st. Tickets are already available, promising another unforgettable weekend in the city that never sleeps.
