Cadillac has unveiled a special 4th of July-themed livery for the British Grand Prix, celebrating America's 250th anniversary. The team hopes to bounce back after a challenging weekend in Austria.
Cadillac is joining the trend of special liveries at the British Grand Prix, this year commemorating the 4th of July. The race falls on America's 250th birthday, and Cadillac is marking the occasion with a striking red, white, and blue design, complete with stars and stripes. This patriotic theme extends beyond the cars, coloring the team’s garage, driver helmets, and even their attire. Additionally, the livery will be showcased at the Cadillac Formula 1 Team x Jim Beam Pit Stop BBQ during ESSENCE Fest in New Orleans.
Dan Towriss, CEO of Cadillac's F1 team, expressed his enthusiasm for the celebration: "The 4th of July weekend is a moment for us to show our continued pride in representing the United States on the global stage of F1. We want to use it as an opportunity to allow new communities to discover the sport and share our passion."
Looking to improve on their recent performance, Team Principal Graeme Lowdon reflected on the past race in Austria, where Cadillac faced difficulties. He remarked, “The Austrian Grand Prix was a challenge for us – but there is not one team in the pit lane that has not had similar days.” Despite the setbacks, Lowdon remains optimistic about the upgrades made in Spielberg. “Our objective in Silverstone is to ensure that we have a clean weekend to maximise the performance potential we see.”
With preparations for Silverstone underway, Lowdon acknowledged the challenges but emphasized the team's commitment to learning and progressing. “We appreciate it's a big task – especially coming so soon after Austria – but we will take every opportunity to learn, move forward, and continue our progress as a team.”
