Rafael Camara secured his second pole in a row during F2 qualifying at Barcelona, leading the pack with a blistering lap. His teammate Joshua Duerksen came in second, while Alexander Dunne rounded out the top three.
Rafael Camara continued to impress in the FIA Formula 2 circuit, securing his second consecutive pole position at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. The Brazilian, a promising member of the Scuderia Ferrari Driver Academy, posted a time of 1m 24.810s on his initial lap, which proved unbeatable throughout the session.
His Invicta Racing teammate, Joshua Duerksen, was the closest contender, trailing just over a tenth behind. Meanwhile, Alexander Dunne, representing Rodin Motorsport and the Alpine Academy, managed to claim third despite a rocky start. His initial lap was scrapped due to track limits, but he recovered well on his final attempt.
Gabriele Minì, another Alpine junior and the current F2 championship leader, managed to finish fourth for MP Motorsport after improving late in the session. Rafael Villagómez from Van Amersfoort Racing completed the top five with his best qualifying performance of the season.
The session wasn't without its hiccups. A red flag was thrown late on after Hitech's Ritomo Miyata spun off at the final corner, getting stuck in the gravel.
Elsewhere, Nikola Tsolov secured sixth for Campos Racing, just ahead of Nico Varrone in the second Van Amersfoort car. After his recent F1 practice run with Cadillac, Colton Herta achieved his season's best in eighth place. Kush Maini and Noel Leon rounded out the top ten.
