Pirelli Unveils Tyre Compounds for 2026 British Grand Prix

As Formula 1 heads to Silverstone for the 2026 British Grand Prix, Pirelli has revealed the tyre compounds that teams will be working with. Known for its high-speed corners and tyre-punishing layout, Silverstone will see the hardest options in Pirelli's armoury: the C1 as hard, C2 as medium, and C3 as soft.

With the weekend featuring a Sprint format, teams have a slightly trimmed tyre allocation: two sets of the hard C1, four sets of the medium C2, and six sets of the soft C3. This is one less set than usual. Intermediates and full wets are also on standby, just in case the famously capricious British weather decides to make an appearance.

"Silverstone remains a significant challenge," Pirelli notes, "with its 18 corners, including the high-speed sequence of Maggotts, Becketts, and Chapel."
