Theophile Nael secured another pole position for Campos Racing during the F3 qualifiers in Monaco. He faced tough competition from Freddie Slater but ultimately set the fastest lap.
Campos Racing's Theophile Nael has maintained his streak in F3 Qualifying, grabbing his second pole of the 2026 season on the streets of Monte Carlo. Nael clocked a lap time of 1m 24.471s, keeping his 100% pole record intact. The qualifying session saw the field split into two groups, with Nael waiting patiently in Group B. Once on track, he engaged in a gripping duel with TRIDENT's Freddie Slater, who also happens to be an Audi Development Driver. The pair swapped provisional pole multiple times early on, with Slater briefly appearing quicker. However, a minor scrape with the wall at Portier cost Slater his front wing and a chance for the top spot. Despite setting the fastest middle sector, Slater's final lap faltered, leaving him several tenths shy of Nael's time. In Group A, Badoer gave Rodin Motorsport a near-pole moment, finishing just under two-tenths behind Nael. With times from both groups now combined, Nael will have Badoer alongside him on the front row. Slater starts from third, while championship leader Ugo Ugochukwu, who finished second in Group B, begins in fourth. Campos' Ernesto Rivera, making a return after an injury that sidelined him in Melbourne, finished third in Group B, earning him a respectable fifth on the grid for his F3 debut.
