Kim Kardashian and Martin Brundle finally exchanged pleasantries on the Singapore GP grid after a prior snub. Meanwhile, Lewis Hamilton faced a strategic challenge, finishing sixth after a tough race.
Martin Brundle finally managed to check 'chat with Kim Kardashian' off his bucket list during the Singapore Grand Prix grid walk. After an earlier snub in Monaco, the Sky F1 pundit and the reality star, now dating Ferrari's Lewis Hamilton, shared a friendly conversation at Marina Bay.
Back in Monaco, Brundle's attempt to engage Kardashian ended awkwardly when she turned away, leaving him conversing with her assistant instead. However, this time in Singapore, the ice was broken as they exchanged pleasantries. Brundle greeted her warmly, and Kardashian admitted to perhaps not knowing the 'rules' last time. She expressed her amazement at the energy of Formula 1 and praised her partner Hamilton's performance.
Hamilton, who opted for medium tyres in a strategic gamble, found himself outpaced by the soft-tyre runners, including polesitter Max Verstappen and teammate Charles Leclerc. His race took a further downturn when he missed a crucial pit stop during a virtual safety car period triggered by Lance Stroll's Aston Martin. Deciding to stay out, Hamilton's worn-out tyres saw him slip down the order, finishing sixth after being overtaken by Kimi Antonelli and McLarens Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri.
As the 2026 F1 season's first triple-header concluded, Hamilton sits third in the Drivers' standings, with Verstappen closing in just eight points behind. Leclerc, in fifth, has also narrowed his gap to Hamilton to 14 points.
