Alba Larsen will continue her journey with the Ferrari Driver Academy, becoming the first driver to contest a third season in the F1 Academy. The Danish driver has shown strong potential, earning her a place in the 2027 all-female series.
Alba Larsen, the Danish driver, is set to make F1 Academy history by becoming the first to secure a seat for a third season. Ferrari has confirmed her continued participation in the all-female series for 2027, as part of the prestigious Scuderia Ferrari Driver Academy. This opportunity comes after a rule change that allows drivers with significant potential for growth to extend their stay in the series.
Larsen, who joined the SFDA during her debut season in 2025, has had an impressive run. She achieved ten top-10 finishes in her initial year with MP Motorsport and later switched to Ferrari, where she recently snagged her first podium with consecutive second-place finishes at Zandvoort. Currently fourth in the drivers' standings with two rounds remaining, Larsen also celebrated her first British F4 win earlier this year.
Reflecting on her journey, Larsen expressed her enthusiasm: "After two years in F1 Academy, I’ve seen firsthand how much this series has grown and how crucial it’s become. With the support of Susie Wolff and the team, along with the energy from fans, I’ve experienced substantial growth myself. I'm proud to be part of this and excited to return to the grid with Scuderia Ferrari HP in 2027."
At just 17, Larsen is making waves in the motorsport world, and her continued presence in the F1 Academy promises to be an exciting chapter for both her and the series.
