Ferrari's Charles Leclerc and his wife, Alexandra, have celebrated the arrival of their first child just before the São Paulo Grand Prix. The couple shared the news on social media, naming their daughter Bianca.
Charles Leclerc and his wife, Alexandra, have entered the world of parenthood just in time for the São Paulo Grand Prix. The Ferrari driver announced the birth of their first child on Tuesday, adding another milestone to his eventful week following the Mexico City Grand Prix.
Leclerc shared the joyous news on social media with a simple post: “Bianca 🤍 3.11.26.” Speculation among fans suggests that the child's name could be a nod to Leclerc's late godfather, Jules Bianchi, who tragically passed away in 2015 after a crash in the 2014 Japanese Grand Prix.
The new father joins a select group of F1 drivers who are also parents, including Max Verstappen, Fernando Alonso, Nico Hulkenberg, and Sergio Perez. Interestingly, Leclerc will miss the first practice session of the weekend, with Dino Beganovic stepping in temporarily.
As Leclerc prepares to build on his recent fourth-place finish where he sparred on the track with teammate Lewis Hamilton, congratulations have poured in from fellow drivers and teams celebrating the new addition to his family.
