Ferrari has introduced a special livery for the 2026 United States Grand Prix, highlighting the creative journey from idea to race car. The design features blueprint-inspired graphics, celebrating the team's engineering prowess.
In a nod to its design roots, Ferrari has unveiled a special livery for the 2026 United States Grand Prix. The new look is a tribute to the creative and engineering process, featuring a striking white engine cover adorned with sketches, technical drawings, and blueprint-style graphics in black. This visual feast, crafted in collaboration with title partner HP, aims to celebrate the journey from initial concept to the high-speed reality of a Formula 1 car.
Ferrari's head of colour and trim, Silvia Cavallaro, explained that the livery is more than just aesthetics; it's a story of craftsmanship and innovation. "Every Ferrari starts with creativity, sketches, and engineering expertise long before the car reaches the track," she said. "Our collaboration with HP allowed us to bring that process to life visually."
Stefano Luparia, Ferrari's new car concept specialist, noted the challenges in adapting the design to the SF-26's complex surfaces. "We had to transform the concept developed with the Ferrari Design Studio into something practical, considering the car's aerodynamic needs," he explained. The project also involved introducing innovative printing technologies, a first in this context, to ensure the livery met performance objectives.
On the championship front, Ferrari arrives at the Circuit of the Americas sitting second in the Constructors’ standings, trailing Mercedes by 134 points but comfortably ahead of McLaren by 105 points. In the Drivers’ standings, Lewis Hamilton holds third place, with Ferrari's Charles Leclerc in fifth, just 14 points adrift.
As the team gears up for the race, Ferrari hopes this blend of art and engineering will be both a visual and competitive success.
