Haas delighted fans with a special test session at Fuji Speedway, featuring local talents Sho Tsuboi and Nirei Fukuzumi. The event showcased Haas' growing ties with Toyota and offered fans a close-up view of F1 action.
Haas recently treated their fans to an engaging test session at Japan's scenic Fuji Speedway, a former F1 venue. This event was part of Haas' efforts to strengthen their relationship with Toyota, who will become the team's title sponsor from 2026. The two-day session featured local racing stars Sho Tsuboi and Nirei Fukuzumi, giving both drivers valuable seat time in Formula 1 machinery. Tsuboi, a four-time Super GT GT500 champion, was making his second appearance for Haas, while Fukuzumi, a 2019 Super GT GT300 champion and current Super Formula driver, made his F1 car debut.
The track's gates were open for fans, allowing them to watch the action from the grandstands. Despite mixed weather conditions requiring wet tyres at times, blue skies eventually emerged, allowing for some dry-weather runs. The fans, who were clearly enjoying the unique opportunity, even got to meet Haas team boss Ayao Komatsu and leave their mark by signing a Haas front wing.
This test session was another example of Haas' commitment to engaging with fans while also benefiting from their growing partnership with Toyota. It was a team effort, with the entire Haas crew contributing to a successful outing at Fuji. Check out the gallery for a selection of photos capturing the event's highlights.
