2026 Spanish Grand Prix Starting Grid: Norris on Pole in Madrid

The 2026 Spanish Grand Prix in Madrid is set to be a thrilling race with a grid that promises plenty of action. Lando Norris has clinched pole position for McLaren, showcasing his prowess yet again. As a result, he'll start from the pit lane. Similar woes befell Lance Stroll, who will start at the back of the grid after failing to set a qualifying time and requiring new power unit components for his Aston Martin.
The only grid penalty for driving infringements went to Williams' Carlos Sainz, who was handed a three-place drop for impeding Valtteri Bottas during qualifying. Originally set to start 17th, Sainz will now have to fight his way forward from further back.
